5月22日，曹賽先主任與到訪(fǎng)的英屬維爾京群島副總理兼金融服務(wù)、勞工與貿易部長(cháng)羅娜·史密斯一行會(huì )面。

　　On May 22, Director General Cao Saixian of Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office met with Deputy Premier and Minister for Financial Services, Labour and Trade of British Virgin Islands Lorna G. Smith, OBE.

　　曹賽先主任對史密斯副總理率領(lǐng)英屬維爾京群島代表團到訪(fǎng)深圳表示熱烈歡迎。她熱情介紹了深圳最新經(jīng)濟社會(huì )發(fā)展情況，以及引領(lǐng)深圳實(shí)現跨越式發(fā)展的理念與制度創(chuàng )新。她表示，今年是深圳與英屬維爾京群島締結友好交流市區關(guān)系十周年，深圳愿與英屬維爾京群島在金融服務(wù)、青年交流、教育、可持續發(fā)展等方面進(jìn)一步密切合作。

　　Director General Cao expressed her warm welcome to the British Virgin Islands Delegation led by Deputy Premier Smith. She briefed them on Shenzhen’s latest socioeconomic achievements, as well as the philosophies and system innovation to Shenzhen's leapfrogging development. She said that this year marks the 10^th anniversary of the establishment of friendship relationship between Shenzhen and BVI, and Shenzhen stands ready to work with BVI to further cooperation in areas such as financial services, youth exchange, education and sustainable development.

　　史密斯副總理表示，深圳的發(fā)展成就令人印象深刻。英屬維爾京群島十分重視與深圳的交往，正探討在深圳設立相關(guān)金融服務(wù)機構或項目的可能性。期待以?xún)傻亟Y好十周年為契機，深化在科技創(chuàng )新、新能源汽車(chē)等領(lǐng)域的交流與合作。

　　Deputy Premier Smith said that Shenzhen has achieved impressive development success. British Virgin Islands attaches great importance to exchanges with Shenzhen, and is exploring the possibility of setting up relevant financial services institutions or project in Shenzhen. Taking the 10^th anniversary of the friendly relations between the two places as an oportunity, BVI looks forward to deepen cooperation in scientific and tecnological innovation, new energy vehicles and other fields.

　　史密斯副總理一行此次訪(fǎng)深還會(huì )見(jiàn)了深圳市貿促委負責人，與深圳企業(yè)代表進(jìn)行了深入而富有成效的交流。

　　The delegation also met with CCPIT Shenzhen and had in-depth and fruitful conversations with representatives of Shenzhen enterprises.
